Function and Purpose
These knuckles are critical components that:

Key Differences
While sharing identical construction, the left and right knuckles are mirror images:
Mounting orientation: Designed specifically for their respective sides
Tie rod connection: Connects to left tie rod (1044311-00-E) or right tie rod (1044316-00-E)
Caliper mounting: Brake caliper mounts on the inside of the left knuckle but outside of the right
Installation Considerations
Requires specialized tools including torque wrench, hub puller, and 6-point sockets
Critical torque specifications range from 5 Nm to 300 Nm depending on the fastener
A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after replacement
