It connects the wheels to the suspension and steering components, allowing the wheels to turn and pivot. For the Fiat 500, two specific part numbers are commonly associated with rear steering knuckles: 68071699AA (for the left side) and 68071698AA (for the right side).
The rear steering knuckles with part numbers 68071699AA and 68071698AA are exclusively designed for the 2012–2018 Fiat 500 model. They are not compatible with other Fiat models or with later model years of the Fiat 500. For example, these knuckles are not intended for the 2019 Fiat 500 or any 2020+ model, as those models have a different rear suspension design (with independent rear suspension in some variants) and likely use different part numbers.
These knuckles fit all 2-door Fiat 500 hatchback models from 2012 through 2018, including the standard Fiat 500, Fiat 500C (convertible), and the Fiat 500e (electric model) during that period. They are front-wheel drive only, so they do not fit all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive versions of the Fiat 500 (which only came in front-wheel drive). Additionally, vehicles with certain options or modifications (like larger wheels or custom suspension) might require checking if those modifications affect fitment, but generally, the standard factory knuckle will fit all 2012–2018 Fiat 500s.
