A BMW 5 Series entered the store, and the owner claimed that the engine compartment noise was too loud. After inspection, the mechanic found that the reason was that there was too much dust on the water tank and condenser, which caused problems with their heat dissipation. The solution was to clean them.
We won't show the cleaning process anymore, let's mainly take a look at the chassis condition of this car when it has driven over 100000 kilometers. Looking at the engine compartment shown in the picture, the engine is N52 model with a 2.5-liter displacement.
Looking between the front wheel and the fender, you can see the upper control arm of the suspension, which is made of aluminum alloy material.
Raise the car and look at the lower part. The lower part is a lower control arm composed of two support arms, both made of aluminum alloy material.
The steering knuckle is also made of aluminum alloy material and connects the upper and lower control arms. Due to being a rear wheel drive model, there is no need for a Half shaft at the front.
Looking at the middle part of the chassis, all the necessary protective plates are present, and there is also a reinforcing rod connecting the left and right sides of the vehicle.
The rear suspension is a multi link independent suspension made of aluminum alloy material, and a differential is installed on the rear subframe.
The rear suspension material is quite awesome. As shown in the figure below, it is basically made of aluminum alloy, which is very different from the rear suspension material of the current BMW 5 Series.
After inspection, the suspension components are in good condition.
The above is the chassis condition of this BMW 5 Series, which is made of very solid materials and extensively uses aluminum alloy components.
Finally, the mechanic reminds that regardless of the type of car, summer has arrived and the temperature has risen. It is necessary to check the condition of the water tank and condenser. If they are too dirty, they must be cleaned in a timely manner. It is recommended to clean them every two years to avoid excessive engine temperature.
If the water temperature is too high, it will increase the pressure on the cooling water circuit, accelerate the aging of rubber components, and also lead to poor cooling effect of the air conditioner and increased fan noise.
